Robert A. DiTusa

Attorney DiTusa is an experienced trial attorney who has a 20 year record of courtroom success. His diligent work ethic and creative approach to trial practice has resulted in an extensive history of victories against insurance companies. In the past 3 years, Attorney DiTusa and his partner, Attorney Alekman, have developed a tough, but balanced, approach to collecting PIP benefits for medical practices in Massachusetts.

Attorney DiTusa was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his law degree from the Toledo College of Law in 1994 and has licenses to practice law in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In the past, he represented members of various trade unions in bodily injury claims, workers’ compensation claims and social security disability claims (including members of the United Transportation Union, Communications Workers of America, Civil Service Employees Union, Commercial Food Workers of America, and Nurses United). Upon moving to Massachusetts in 2000, Attorney DiTusa focused his practice on litigating construction site injuries. He has experience litigating catastrophic injury claims against the largest contractors in the world, some of which were involved in Boston’s multi-billion dollar highway project known as the Big Dig. Attorney DiTusa moved to Western Massachusetts in 2003 and, in 2010, he merged his practice with Attorney Ryan Alekman to form Alekman DiTusa, LLC, located at 1550 Main Street, in the heart of downtown Springfield. He is a current member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (2005 President’s Award Winner) as well as the American Association for Justice (formerly American Trial Lawyers Association). Attorney DiTusa has been asked to speak about his litigation experience at legal education seminars across the state of Masachusetts.
